The boundless night sky was filled with drifting snowflakes.

Within 24 blocks, no monsters would spawn.

Beyond 128 blocks, they would despawn.

Not all zombies were empty-handed—some wore armor or even carried weapons or tools.

Given Zhou Yue’s current predicament, Zhong Yi concluded that the only solution was—

Exploiting the spawning mechanics to get a zombie holding a shovel!

Zhou Yue listened to Zhong Yi’s reasoning, nodding in agreement.

“But how do I spawn zombies on this single dirt block?”

Zhong Yi replied nonchalantly, “Simple. Jump off.”

Zhong Yi smiled in relief.

He had cracked the solution.

The reason no monsters were spawning was that Zhou Yue fell too far—beyond the 128-block despawn range.

Any spawned monsters would immediately disappear!

The key was to control the death location within 128 blocks.

To do that, he needed to jump while already at low health.

“Old Zhou, start jumping non-stop to drain your hunger bar.”

“Once your hunger is depleted and your health drops to about two and a half hearts, then jump…”

“That’ll guarantee monster spawns!”

After hearing Zhong Yi’s explanation, Zhou Yue’s eyes lit up with realization.

“Holy crap… Since when is your brain this sharp? Guess not all your research is just shady nonsense after all!”
