Wei Family Banquet
The beast tide dispersed!
Below, An Yi sheathed his Dragon Fang Demon Sword, tossing three spirit cores in his hand as he walked over leisurely.
Wei Feng was utterly shocked. As he watched An Yi approach, his legs trembled uncontrollably.
A single person, standing against the beast tide.
He could hardly imagine just how terrifyingly powerful this being was.
An Yi raised his head, gazing at this entirely new world, and grinned: "Finally out!"
For the past three days, all he had seen were mountains and forests—he was sick of it.
"I am Wei Feng! Thank you for your assistance, esteemed sir!"
Suppressing the trembling in his heart, Wei Feng strode forward and bowed respectfully.
This man was the great savior of the Wei family.
The soldiers looked at An Yi with deep gratitude.
Had An Yi not intervened, they would have had to throw their lives against the beast tide!
"Assistance? What assistance?"
An Yi was momentarily confused. Then, noticing the wooden barricades surrounding them, he understood and cleared his throat. "Just a small effort, not worth mentioning!"
Wei Feng said solemnly, "This beast tide came suddenly and fiercely. Without your help, our Wei family would have been overrun! This is a great kindness!"
Hearing this, An Yi raised an eyebrow.
Those beasts... well, he was the one who had driven them here.
Hmm, right—he had saved these people!
"Young hero, your injury..." Wei Feng couldn't help but ask.
He clearly remembered seeing this benefactor get slashed by a Green-Eyed Lion while showing off earlier.
"Injury? Impossible! Just a few lions—they couldn’t hurt me."
An Yi waved his hand dismissively.
Wei Feng glanced at An Yi’s back—his clothes were torn, but there was no wound. Wait, that wasn’t right! He had definitely seen blood!
"Tell me, where is the Azure Luan Pavilion?" An Yi asked casually.
"Azure Luan Pavilion?"
Wei Feng pondered before replying, "It’s quite a distance from here. Why not rest at our clan first, young hero?"
"Fine."
An Yi thought for a moment and agreed.
Wei City.
A town steeped in ancient charm.
The scenery was straight out of an old painting.
Blue-tiled houses stood in neat rows.
On the emerald river, black-canopied boats lay anchored.
Stone bridges, riverbanks, and passersby all dressed in ancient attire.
As An Yi walked through, admiring the surroundings, it felt like stepping into a Jiangnan water town.
Now he understood why Shen Muxuan had been wearing ancient-style clothing when they first met.
Turns out, everyone in this world dressed like people from a thousand years ago in Great Xia.
So An Yi, in his modern casual wear, stood out like a sore thumb.
Carrying an oil-paper bag of pastries, he strolled along, munching as he took in the riverside scenery.
The pastries weren’t bad—simple, without all those weird additives.
This place wouldn’t be bad for a vacation.
"Young hero, the Wei family estate is just ahead."
Wei Feng stopped before a grand mansion.
In Wei Family Town, the Wei family was the undisputed leading clan, and their residence reflected their status.
"Let’s go."
An Yi glanced up and chuckled.
After days in the wilderness, he was exhausted.
Wei Feng smiled. "Please, come in."
Just as they entered, a young man holding a sword hurried over.
"Uncle! The beast tide dispersed?"
The youth asked, then added, "I saw the signal flare you sent."
Wei Feng said proudly, "Indeed, and we have Young Hero An Yi to thank for that."
"Him?"
The youth looked An Yi up and down in disbelief.
This guy couldn’t be older than twenty—younger than him!
"You think I’m weak, don’t you? Then you’ll challenge me, insisting on a duel?"
An Yi raised an eyebrow, interrogating him.
The youth panicked, waving his hands. "No, no! I wouldn’t dare!"
"Impossible. I’ve seen through your tricks."
"Really, I swear!"
Wei Feng quickly interjected with a smile, "This is my nephew, Wei Xiang. He’s an inner disciple of the Profound Sky Sect, just home for a visit."
"Oh, I see."
An Yi released Wei Xiang’s collar and grinned. "This kid looks sharp."
Wei Xiang forced a stiff smile.
This guy was at the Void Realm’s peak?
Did he start cultivating in the womb?
At twenty-four, Wei Xiang had reached the early Transformation Realm, earning his place as an inner disciple—something he’d been proud of.
But this kid was on another level entirely!
"Young Hero An, the family banquet is ready. Please!"
Wei Feng gestured warmly.
An Yi mimicked their customs with an awkward cupped-fist salute. "Much obliged."
Once An Yi entered, Wei Xiang pulled Wei Feng aside and whispered, "Uncle, did he really drive back the beast tide?"
Wei Feng nodded solemnly. "He slaughtered all six Green-Eyed Lions."
Wei Xiang’s face paled.
Those six lions had plagued Wei Family Town for nearly a century—and this kid wiped them out?
Green-Eyed Lions were far stronger than ordinary fourth-tier demonic beasts!
Wei Xiang sucked in a cold breath, muttering, "Terrifying!"
Wei Feng said seriously, "We’ll announce it to the whole town. The patriarch even plans to erect a merit stele for Young Hero An!"
"Good!"
Wei Xiang’s eyes burned with admiration.
A Void Realm peak expert—even the Profound Sky Sect’s elders would steer clear of him.
The Wei family banquet was a grand affair.
Nearly four hundred clan members attended, feasting on roasted lamb and beef, with lanterns and decorations everywhere.
Even An Yi, thick-skinned as he was, felt a little embarrassed by the scale.
Only he knew the truth—how the beast tide had come to be...
"Young Hero An, forgive our humble hospitality."
The kindly-faced patriarch of the Wei family raised his wine cup with a smile.
An Yi hurriedly lifted his own. "Not at all."
As soon as he drank, two lovely young maids quietly refilled his cup.
Sixteen years old, faces delicate as lotus blossoms, slender waists barely concealed.
Their shy, lowered glances were enough to stir any man’s heart.
Yet An Yi kept his hands strictly to himself.
He knew these were the Wei family’s own daughters.
Already, he felt guilty for accepting such a lavish feast.
If he dared lay a finger on their girls, he’d be no better than a scoundrel.
But the two maidens subtly pressed their soft, fragrant bodies closer to him.
What maiden doesn’t yearn for love?
Handsome, powerful, the hero who saved their clan—it was no wonder their eyes sparkled with admiration.
"Young Hero An, I heard you’re heading to the Azure Luan Pavilion?" the Wei patriarch asked lightly.
An Yi replied hastily, "Patriarch, just call me An Yi. Yes, I plan to go there."
Wei Xiang, gnawing on a roast suckling pig below, chimed in, "I know the Azure Luan Pavilion well! On the ninth of next month, our Profound Sky Sect’s young master is marrying their young mistress!"
Suddenly, a terrifying killing intent filled the hall.
An Yi locked eyes with Wei Xiang, his voice icy.
"What did you say?"
