Death God Lin Chen
The Great Xia Nation, Hong Kong Island.
A T-shaped baton swept out with devastating force!
A raging gale erupted, whipping up a cyan tornado that engulfed the entire area.
The ground couldn’t withstand the pressure, cracking under the sheer force.
CRACK!
Buildings shattered, walls collapsing in all directions.
"Move!"
Lin Chen strode forward, gripping his baton.
His cold eyes gleamed like those of a demon from the underworld, chilling to the bone.
Behind him, Bai Xiu lazily twirled his spear, stifling a yawn.
Though his demeanor remained indifferent, the bloodstains on his spear cast an eerie aura of menace around him.
BOOM!
Qin Shan swung his massive hammer, smashing through a wall.
Dust billowed into the air!
Inside, a slick-haired man in a suit lounged on a sofa, puffing leisurely on a cigar.
He looked up at Lin Chen, unshaken, flashing a gold-toothed grin. "Heh, as expected of the man they call the Grim Reaper. In just a month, you’ve swept through Hong Kong Island!"
Lin Chen stared coldly at him, raising his baton. "Submit or die."
The slick-haired man, Wang Yi, stood up, surveying the ruins around him. "I, Wang Yi, started hustling in Hong Kong at fourteen. The lives I’ve taken with my gun? Too many to count."
He chuckled bitterly. "Thirty years… Thirty damn years of struggle, and this is how it ends."
Wang Yi met Lin Chen’s gaze, grinning. "Brains, skill, power—I’m curious. What kind of man commands your loyalty?"
Lin Chen replied flatly, "What’s your point?"
"What, no last words for a dying man?" Wang Yi laughed hoarsely.
He raised his gun to his temple. "I’ve sinned too much to deserve mercy. But I ask this—spare my brothers in the Righteous Faction."
"I promise," Lin Chen said solemnly.
"Hey, Lin—" Bai Xiu’s eyes narrowed slightly in question.
"I’m in charge here," Lin Chen stated firmly.
"The Grim Reaper’s word is ironclad. That’s enough for me."
Wang Yi grinned, pulling the trigger. "But my life? I take it myself!"
BANG!
A gunshot echoed.
The bullet tore through Wang Yi’s skull, blood spraying.
Wang Yi, leader of the Righteous Faction, was dead.
A cold wind howled across the wasteland.
Lin Chen stood atop the rubble, his black coat flapping violently in the gale.
"Report! Over three hundred members of the Righteous Faction have surrendered to the Asura Sect!"
A woman in a black suit, her expression icy, stepped forward.
Lin Chen nodded. "Absorb them. Rose, handle it."
Rose bowed. "Understood, Lord Grim Reaper."
Bai Xiu leaned on his spear, his usual deadpan expression cracking into a smirk. "Heh, job’s done."
Not far away—
Gene the Mechanical Hand took a swig from his flask, observing from a distance.
The other assassins exchanged uneasy glances.
One muttered, "We’ve hit a wall. Lin Chen, the Grim Reaper, once took down Gabriel single-handedly."
"No," Gene corrected, shaking his empty flask. "He’s even stronger now."
A rat-faced assassin grinned. "Boss Gene, between you and Gabriel, who’s stronger?"
Both were legendary half-mechanical assassins, their rivalry the stuff of debate.
Gene smirked. "Before the serum? Seven-to-three, my favor. After? Fifty-fifty."
The assassins gaped.
Gene never boasted.
If he said he could match Gabriel post-serum, he meant it.
Yet Gene’s gaze darkened as he watched Lin Chen. "But against him? I’d die."
The others stiffened.
The Grim Reaper had grown even more terrifying?
A goggle-wearing assassin sighed. "This group’s a nightmare."
"Lin Chen, Bai Xiu—both monsters. Even their subordinates, Qin Shan and Liu Dachao, are forces to reckon with."
"Worse, they’ve absorbed Hong Kong’s factions. Over a thousand strong now, with Void Realm fighters among them."
"Like Rose—former leader of the Rose Syndicate. Now Lin Chen’s right hand."
Some assassins had tried targeting them.
Most were dead before they could strike.
With Hong Kong’s gangs eager to prove loyalty to the Asura Sect, any assassin who stirred trouble was swiftly crushed.
Gene’s team hadn’t even scored a kill.
"Damn it, this place is hell," one assassin grumbled.
They weren’t just failing—they were constantly dodging Lin Chen’s radar, praying they wouldn’t be next.
The shifty-eyed assassin growled in frustration, "Ito Jiro, the new boss, is one ruthless bastard!"
Not long ago, the Rakshasa Organization was officially established.
As its leader, Ito Jiro laid out a point-based system.
Based on the distribution of the Asura Gate's members, he divided the targets into four groups.
The Capital Group’s targets were only Xiao Ye, Ziyue, and a few members of the Tang family connected to the Asura Gate.
Thus, fewer operatives were assigned, led by Kevin, a marksman with strength comparable to the Void Realm.
The Jiangbei Group’s targets were Long, Hu, Lan Ruoxi, and Wang Yuan, hunted under the leadership of Kim Jung-ho.
The Yunzhou Group’s targets were Shangguan Qianqian, Mo Jiu, and Xiao Yike, led by the poison master, Bob.
The Hong Kong Group’s targets were Lin Chen, Bai Xiu, and Qin Shan, led by the mechanical-handed Gene.
The assignments were decided by drawing lots.
Gene ended up with the toughest group to crack.
"Damn it, we haven’t even spotted a single assassin. Our points are the lowest—we’re definitely gonna be at the bottom," one assassin sighed.
Under Rakshasa’s point system, the assassins already eliminated had been tallied.
Kim Jung-ho’s Jiangbei Group was racking up points effortlessly.
The shifty-eyed assassin mused, "Speaking of which, our boss said he’d personally capture An Yi, the leader of the Asura Gate. But An Yi’s vanished without a trace. Can he even find him?"
Hearing this, Gene cracked open a beer can with one hand, took a sip, and smirked mysteriously. "That depends on whether he’s willing to look."
"What do you mean?"
The assassins exchanged confused glances.
Gene grinned and said, "As the old saying goes in Xia: 'Heaven’s secrets must not be revealed!'"
