The Red Owl Appears
"To hell with teaching!"
The burly man wielding a spiked club couldn't stand it any longer and charged forward with heavy steps.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The entire ship trembled under his weight.
An Yi narrowed his eyes, a hint of seriousness flashing across his face.
Another fourth-tier demon beast!
Fang Jueming stepped forward. "Master, leave this to me!"
"You're not his match yet." An Yi raised a hand to stop Fang Jueming.
A fourth-tier demon beast was nearly equivalent to a Void Realm expert.
With his refined fist techniques and newly mastered metal element, Fang Jueming was unmatched among those in the Transformation Realm. But facing a Void Realm opponent was still too much for him.
"Deal with the other beasts!"
As he spoke, An Yi gripped the Dragonfang Demon Sword and met the attack head-on.
Clang!
The spiked club collided with the sword, producing a sharp, grating sound.
Surprisingly, the burly man, who appeared far more imposing and savage, was forced back two steps.
"Impressive!"
An Yi smirked as the Dragonfang Demon Sword instantly shrank into a dagger. He closed the distance in a flash.
"Die!"
Sensing An Yi's movement, the burly man abruptly changed the trajectory of his club, swinging it down with brutal force.
Yet An Yi remained unfazed. He calmly extended two fingers.
"Idiot!"
The burly man poured all his strength into the strike, smashing the massive club downward—
Only for it to freeze mid-air.
Because An Yi, with his left hand behind his back, had used just two fingers to clamp onto one of the club's spikes.
"This… this isn’t possible!"
The burly man’s eyes bulged in disbelief.
How could two fingers stop such a devastating attack?!
An Yi smiled faintly.
"Sure, the system’s trash and shameless…"
"But at least it doesn’t skimp on skills!"
Take this Divine Finger technique, for example.
He’d tested it before—as long as the power gap wasn’t too wide, it worked wonders against weapon strikes.
Sure, blocking with the Dragonfang Demon Sword would’ve been just as effective…
But where’s the fun in that?
"I don’t believe it!"
The burly man roared.
His body suddenly swelled, transforming into a towering four-to-five-meter giant, his head morphing into an ugly hippopotamus-like visage.
The entire cruise ship tilted slightly under his weight.
"Well, damn!"
An Yi grinned at the colossal beast.
"Size manipulation?"
He loved dealing with slow, oversized opponents.
"Let’s see you block this!"
The hippo-giant stomped down with crushing force.
Boom!
The deck shattered, and the giant’s foot sank deep into the wood.
But An Yi was already gone.
"Missed!"
The hippo-giant’s expression twisted in alarm.
Then—a surge of lethal intent prickled at his back.
"Flame Infusion!"
An Yi’s fingers slid along the blade.
Instantly, the Dragonfang Demon Sword erupted in searing flames.
"First Form of the Dragon-Slaying Nine Swords—Farewell Sorrow!"
Gripping the sword with both hands, An Yi unleashed a crescent-shaped sword beam, sharp enough to cleave reality itself.
Each of the Dragon-Slaying Nine Swords had its strengths.
The Second Form, Dragon’s Fall, boasted the most devastating power after full charge.
The Third Form, Tempest, excelled in wide-range annihilation.
The Fourth Form, Thunderbolt, pierced through defenses like paper.
But the First Form, Farewell Sorrow, was special—it required minimal charge, consumed little energy, and still packed a punch!
Combined with Flame Infusion and the 150% damage boost from a Sneak Attack…
There was no way this guy could survive.
Especially since An Yi had aimed straight for the neck.
If the 50% Instant Kill triggered, death was guaranteed.
Feeling the terrifying aura behind him, the hippo-giant’s mind blanked with terror.
His foot was still stuck in the deck—no time to dodge.
He could only wait like a slab of meat on a chopping block.
I’m done for…
The thought barely formed before despair swallowed him.
Below, Hongtian’s eyes gleamed with hunger. Already in his giant wolf form, he watched eagerly.
If he devoured and refined this fourth-tier spirit core, he’d surpass An Yi in strength!
Clang!
A flaming feather shot through the air, intercepting the crescent sword beam.
The two forces collided mid-air, erupting in a deafening explosion that canceled each other out.
An Yi’s relaxed demeanor vanished. His gaze sharpened as he looked up.
Hovering above the cruise ship was a man with fiery red hair, a lip piercing, and an eerie, flamboyant aura. His black wings flapped lazily as he floated in place.
"What a terrifying sword technique… As expected of the Demon Gate’s leader."
The man grinned, revealing a row of sharp teeth.
The hippo-giant, now reverting to his chubby human form, stumbled forward and dropped to his knees in reverence.
"Your Highness! You’ve come!"
"Tieta, clean up the remaining trash."
Chi Xiao landed gracefully on the deck, his eyes locked onto An Yi. He licked his lips.
"This one… I’ll handle personally."
An Yi’s expression darkened.
That single feather had shattered his Farewell Sorrow strike.
This man’s strength was, at the very least, on par with his own—if not higher.
And that "Tieta" guy? A fourth-tier demon beast. Fang Jueming stood no chance.
Not to mention the swarming horde of a hundred second-tier beasts.
In an instant, the tides had turned.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Bullets whizzed through the dim, cramped corridors, sparking as they ricocheted off metal walls.
Xue Ming scrambled desperately, Yan Zhi hot on his heels.
A silver whip lashed out like a striking viper.
"Damn it, give it a rest!"
Xue Ming glanced back and cursed under his breath.
He hadn’t expected to run into Yan Zhi inside the ship.
Ever since he killed Wang Dahai, the Law Enforcement Bureau’s stance had been clear—execute on sight.
What surprised him was Yan Zhi’s strength. She far surpassed Yang Tian and Wang Dahai. Hell, she might even rival Jiang Cheng.
But Xue Ming had one advantage—poison.
Clutching a small vial, he discreetly popped the cap open, a cold smirk twisting his lips.
