Senior Brother, Let Me Explain
Damn it! Why are there so many people today!
A man in a baseball cap, sneaking furtively through the bustling night market crowd. Clutched tightly against his chest was a black token, wrapped in layer upon layer of thick material.
He had obtained the token earlier at the trading house. But to his dismay, he failed to keep it properly hidden—now it was exposed!
The black crystal material of the token made it far too easy to detect. In no time, martial artists from all over had mobilized.
Left with no choice, he spent the entire day fleeing, darting back and forth until he finally arranged for someone to meet him at the night market and deliver the materials to conceal the token.
The crowded night market, chaotic and full of prying eyes, was ironically the better place to slip away unnoticed.
After all, this was something the Blood Fiend Sect wanted!
The middle-aged man in the baseball cap couldn’t hide the greed in his eyes.
He knew—if he could successfully deliver this token to the Blood Fiend Sect, he’d live the rest of his life in luxury, free from any worries!
Taking a deep breath, he pulled his cap lower and slipped out of the night market, ducking into an alley to make his quiet escape.
Earlier, someone had fired a gunshot—though he had no idea who.
But that was fine. In the chaos, it was easier to disappear.
As he walked, his gaze landed on a cold-faced girl carrying a massive sniper rifle. He froze for a moment.
Hmm. Smoking hot body, gorgeous face… and she wore glasses!
Just his type!
Then—suddenly—danger struck!
A chill shot down his spine!
Shing!
A gleaming silver hook slashed toward his neck!
Instinctively, he leaped back—just in time to save his life!
But his cap was knocked off, revealing a bald head.
Su Xue’er, wielding a uniquely designed iron hook, spoke coolly: "Liu Erdao, I’ve been tailing you this whole time. Hand over the token, and I might let you live."
"The Death Hook? Hah, so you’re from the Underworld?"
Liu Erdao grinned, his smile sinister.
Su Xue’er swung the hook again, lunging forward!
Liu Erdao countered with two blades, deflecting the hook’s strike.
Seizing the opening, he didn’t hesitate—he turned and bolted.
Su Xue’er didn’t chase. Instead, she calmly watched his fleeing figure before raising the sniper rifle from her back.
The muzzle flashed.
Bang!
A hole the size of a bowl exploded in Liu Erdao’s back.
"Cheap shot…"
Those were his last words before he collapsed, dead.
"Pathetic."
Su Xue’er slung the rifle back over her shoulder.
"In this day and age, even martial artists need to keep up with the times."
Then—a cloud of black smoke surged toward her!
Poison mist!
Su Xue’er leaped back in alarm.
A shadowy figure darted through the smoke, snatching the token from Liu Erdao’s corpse!
"Give that back!"
Su Xue’er shouted furiously as the figure fled.
She raised her rifle and fired—Bang!
But her target had already vaulted over the rooftops. The bullet struck the tiles, sending sparks flying.
"A woman?! I won’t let you get away with this!"
Su Xue’er clenched her fists, teeth gritted.
Elsewhere in the night market…
Yuan Yuan sprinted through the streets, a triumphant smile curling her lips as she clutched the stolen package.
"Perfect—it’s the token!"
She couldn’t believe how easy it had been to snatch it.
Nothing like playing the waiting game and swooping in at the last moment.
"This way—just a little further!"
But then—a shout rang out.
Two martial artists charged straight for her.
Yuan Yuan’s expression darkened as she retreated. "How?! Why are they—"
Then she glanced down at the package in her hand—and her eyes widened.
The wrapping around the token had torn open.
"Damn it! They’ve tracked me!"
Gritting her teeth, she broke into a full sprint.
She had to get this to her senior brother, Xue Ming—fast!
Meanwhile…
An Yi was still tagging along with Lin Chen, pretending to search for the token.
"Blocked again!"
Frustrated martial artists cursed at their tracking devices.
"Most of the tokens still out there are already controlled by the major sects. The ones left are rare!"
An Yi yawned. "Old Lin, let’s just go. How long are we gonna keep this up?"
Lin Chen’s face was stone-cold. "I’m not giving up until we find it."
"Then goodnight. I’m going to bed."
An Yi waved dismissively and turned to leave.
Like they’d ever find it when it’s right here with me.
"Signal’s back! The red dot’s back!"
A martial artist shouted excitedly.
An Yi’s eyebrow twitched.
Did I just get exposed?
In an instant, the crowd erupted, surging toward the eastern district.
An Yi realized—another token had appeared tonight!
"Quick! It’s there!"
Lin Chen’s eyes sharpened as he grabbed An Yi by the collar and dragged him along.
"Hey—no! Why are you dragging me?!"
"Up ahead! I see it—that girl with the big chest has it!"
"Get her!"
Yuan Yuan’s face paled as she tightened her grip on the package.
She knew—right now, the token was nothing but a death sentence.
Without the strength to defend it, whoever held it was doomed.
Whoosh!
A crossbow bolt shot past her, grazing her shoulder. Blood seeped from the wound.
She tried to keep running—only to find another group of martial artists blocking her path.
More and more were closing in!
Where the hell is Senior Brother?!
Panic flickered across Yuan Yuan’s delicate features.
If she continued to stubbornly hold onto this token, she would die here.
"Heh heh, nowhere to run now!"
The leader, a warrior wielding a massive axe, appeared panting in front of Yuan Yuan. His lecherous eyes shamelessly roamed over her curvaceous figure, his throat bobbing as he swallowed hard.
Yuan Yuan stepped back, only to find another group of warriors blocking her retreat.
She was completely surrounded.
"That big-titted girl’s looks are top-notch. Imagine taking her home, heh heh!"
"Hahaha, let’s share her!"
The axe-wielding warrior licked his lips excitedly. "Tsk tsk, little beauty! Why don’t you submit to me?"
Rip!
A spear pierced through the air like a gust of wind, impaling the burly man through his spine.
Wild Goose Spear Bai Ye, clad in white, withdrew his weapon, blood gushing out like a fountain.
Soon after, Old Mo and Pink Gentleman Xiao Han stepped forward.
Yuan Yuan, still shaken, stared at the spearman, knowing there was no escape now.
Wild Goose Spear Bai Ye was a top-fifty expert on the Hidden Dragon Ranking, just like her senior brother!
Not to mention Old Mo and Xiao Han were here too!
Just then, she caught sight of a carefree figure, and a dull ache flared in her chest.
It’s him!
Gritting her teeth, Yuan Yuan hatched a plan.
Since she’d have to surrender the token sooner or later, why not use it to kill two birds with one stone?
"An Yi, catch!"
With that, Yuan Yuan hurled the token toward An Yi.
An Yi, who had been planning to just watch the show, caught it in surprise.
His eyes flicked over the voluptuous girl, lingering on her face in confusion before dropping lower—then realization dawned.
So it’s her!
They’d only met once, and there had been some friction, but he never expected this girl would hand the token over to him!
Pointing at Yuan Yuan, An Yi thumped his chest with a fist, moved. "Little sis, I’ll remember this favor!"
A faint smirk curled Yuan Yuan’s lips.
Idiot!
Too dumb to realize he’s walking to his death!
Then, her face paled.
A figure cloaked in darkness, radiating killing intent, strode forward. Xue Ming glared at her icily.
"You gave the token to him? Xue Yuanyuan, you’ve got some nerve!"
Xue Yuanyuan’s face turned ashen. "S-Senior brother, let me explain!"
