Chapter 236: 236 - Don’t think you’re going to die that easily.

Xue Mo raised his large demonic hand, grabbing the spear thrown by Qingyi.

An explosion of flames engulfed his body and he was forced back a few meters, a cloud of black smoke rising from the palm where the flaming spear had hit him.

Turning his hand, Xue Mo examined his skin which had now taken on a black hue, covered in pulsating red marks.

Between these marks, a small, sharp cut leaked fiery blue blood.

Qingyi had just wounded him in his most perfect form... A form second only to his father’s.

How could this be possible?

Xue Mo’s heart was filled with various emotions, but they all culminated in one - the purest and most uncontrollable rage.

The Qi around his demonic body exploded as he hit the ground, his hooves sinking into the mud that covered that part of the forest as he picked up momentum.

Qingyi just watched coldly, calling for the fourth spear.

It was getting dangerous and the amount of Qi used with each spear was noticeable in his dantian, but that didn’t worry him.

He still had almost three million lust points, much more than enough to solve the problem easily if necessary.

Xue Mo advanced, his blade growing to fit the new size of his body, tearing through the air and leaving a crimson trail behind.

Qingyi launched the fourth flaming spear before readying the heaven-defying thunder sword.

The spear struck Xue Mo’s left arm, tearing through his blackened flesh, its advance ceasing in a thunderous explosion as it finally reached the bone.

Even so, Xue Mo didn’t flinch.

The pain was erased by hatred as his roar spread through the forbidden forest.

’Ah... persistent son of a bitch. Qingyi gritted his teeth as he prepared the heaven-defying thunder sword.

He had learned the fourth form of the Tempest Monarch’s sword art, but had yet to use it in real combat.

Naturally, he was curious.

His eyes glowed a deep purple, a thunderous aura flowing through his silver- purplish blade, making the air around him boil.

This aura soon split, forming the figure of a second sword at his side, which then multiplied into two swords, four swords and before he knew it, there were exactly 16 ethereal lightning swords around him.

"Die!" Xue Mo’s attack finally reached Qingyi, who only allowed his swords to fall as he charged.

The world around him seemed to lose color.

Qingyi’s long black hair fluttered as hellish heat and terrifying Qi spread through the air.

His black scales quivered, the flesh beneath them seeming about to be torn as the two swords met.

For those watching from the camp in the distance, it was as if the world had been split in two, the tremors of combat spreading for dozens of kilometers.

Most there had never seen a battle between such powerful experts.

"Do you know what my father does with insolent vermin like you?" Xue Mo questioned as his sword and Qingyi’s finally overcame the Qi barriers forming around them, the sharp metals meeting.

Their faces were now just a few centimeters apart, close enough for Qingyi to clearly see Xue Mo’s facial expression, not unlike the face of a bloodthirsty beast.

He forced the sixteen blades of Qi from the fourth form of the Storm Monarch’s sword art even further, but they were simply unable to break through Xue Mo’s defenses and were already losing strength.

"Don’t cry to your shitty little daddy now! He’s not going to save you here." Trapped in that clash, all Qingyi could do was provoke more and more.

He saw Xue Mo’s face distort with rage, horrible fangs tearing at his lips as he seemed to take on an even more demonic form.

"This is complete demonization, be careful!" Ruxue warned and Qingyi nodded mentally, feeling Xue Mo’s strength explode even more.

Whatever it was, it was frightening, but unfortunately for Xue Mo, it wasn’t enough.

Qingyi thought of many ways out of that clash, but in the end, he just gave in, pulling back the heaven-defying thunder sword.

Xue Mo’s blood-red eyes finally showed something other than anger as his sword approached Qingyi’s chest.

He could already imagine and delight in the sound of his crimson blade tearing through his opponent’s flesh, but that wasn’t what came to him.

Quite the opposite.

A metallic shock spread through his arm, his sword hitting Qingyi’s chest like a wall of solid steel.

When his vision focused, all he saw was a small cut in the scales where his blade had just bounced off.

Naturally, that blow had absurd power, causing a powerful shockwave.

But even so, Qingyi had barely moved.

"I guess it’s my turn now." Qingyi grabbed Xue Mo’s arms, who watched in horror as the air around him became colder and colder, quickly dropping below zero.

"You bastard, what are you trying to do to me?" Xue Mo tried to struggle.

It wasn’t long before his arms were trapped in a block of ice that was growing much faster than he could melt with his demonic Qi.

Ignoring Xue Mo’s cries, Qingyi threw him to the ground, raising his hand, a fifth flaming spear appearing in his grip.

The dragon above him roared as he hurled the last spear towards Xue Mo’s trapped body.

A heartbreaking scream echoed, followed by an explosion of flames so great that Qingyi could feel his face burning, even from hundreds of meters away.

A cloud of dust took over everything for a radius of kilometers and when this cloud subsided, it revealed a destroyed Xue Mo, sinking into a crater almost thirty meters deep.

In his belly, a horrible bloody hole, his eyes wide as he choked on his own blood.

"Don’t think you’re going to die that easily." Qingyi spoke as his body landed in front of Xue Mo.

He still had some information to get out of Xue Mo, and he was sure that Ruyan would also like to have a little revenge for her.
