Enjoyable but couldn't really get into it because lack of chapters and xianxia don't really get along. MC is overpowered but does have his shortcomings like being inexperienced in teaching disciples. He is shrewd and loves to profit the most out of any given situation which leads to some pretty funny encounters... especially with his mother in law. There is only one female lead and you find out about her in the first 100 chapters. Overall pretty good but author gets carried away at some point and forgets about his disciples ... more>> for around 30 chapters. <<less

Edit: I stand by my opinion after reading 100 more chapters. It's still a really enjoyable read, very wholesome and yet pretty funny. Would recommend.
Honestly, I like it a lot. The MC is portrayed as a bit goofy, but also cunning and reliable when needed. He also cares deeply about his disciples, even though he often hides it and calls them 'rebellious'. Overall, I very much enjoy the relationships between the MC and his disciples, especially the eldest one. The side characters are also good, not cardboard cutouts like in most ... more>> cultivation novels. The plot for now is pretty straightofrward, but not boring by any means. The MC just goes around and gathers everything he needs to the sect to function - spirit stones, materials etc. While letting the disciples cultivate. Honestly, I would recommend it if you like some comedy + not s*upid MC + no repetative sh*t like in many CN cultivation novels. At least for now, it's a solid 4.5/5 from me. <<less

Disappointing. The first ten chapters focused on recruiting disciples, but the story lost its direction when the MC tried to earn spirit stones because he was poor and needed materials to build a spirit array provided by the system. ... more>> Spoiler This led him to raid a sect, which turned into a wild goose chase. He gets entangled in a scheme by demonic cultivators. He then travels to a city to purify the spirit stones he got, and we are introduced to several side characters, including a jade beauty who is the main candidate for the female lead. The disciple recruitment plot now feels more like a side story. On the positive side, we get some good development for the side characters. As of now, the MC has only gained two disciples.
