Chapter 33
Ch. 33
King of Fist, Reprimands
The corridor was extremely narrow.
Men holding swords glared at Dan Wooseong while leaving only enough space for one person to pass through.
As Dan Wooseong tried to walk through the gap, he slapped the face of the man scowling at the front and said,
"Too narrow."
With a thud, the man tumbled backward into the room where he had been waiting. Along with clattering sounds, furniture broke and things like water bottles smashed.
Jeok Ye spoke again from inside.
"......It's noisy, so just let him through."
At Jeok Ye's words, those waiting on the left and right stepped back one pace each.
Dan Wooseong said,
"Quite an atmospheric man."
The Dark Path was good at creating such atmospheres.
Dan Wooseong also liked this atmosphere. Somehow it made beating people more satisfying. By the way, just from hearing his voice, he thought this bastard Jeok Ye was a ruthless and cruel fellow.
When Dan Wooseong arrived, the door opened by itself and a naked woman walked out with vacant eyes, staggering. Dan Wooseong couldn't even look at her properly as she stumbled and walked down the narrow corridor under the indifferent gazes of the men.
Dan Wooseong wasn't looking at Jeok Ye, but had turned his head to stare at the staggering woman as if glaring at her. Blood was smeared on the inside of her thighs, as if she had been bleeding.
Dan Wooseong also memorized the indifferent gazes of the men watching the woman.
Jeok Ye's voice was heard.
"Stop staring and come in and close the door."
When Dan Wooseong turned around, Jeok Ye was sitting alone on the bedding in the room. So the words to close the door were directed at Dan Wooseong.
Dan Wooseong entered the room, closed the door, then clasped his hands behind his back and looked at Jeok Ye.
His physique was admirable.
He was so large that one might wonder if he was of a different race. Large enough to grab a woman's head with one hand. His upper body was exposed as his top was loosened, showing traces of long external arts training.
He was literally a muscular giant. Large enough to suppress most martial artists' inner qi with external force alone.
Jeok Ye said,
"You must have skill to be standing before me. Who are you and where are you from?"
At Jeok Ye's question, a man waiting outside revealed his identity instead.
"He's the Great Young Master of Galaxy Merchant Group. He matches the wanted poster."
Jeok Ye frowned.
"It was you? You came alone?"
Dan Wooseong didn't answer Jeok Ye's words and instead walked around the room, looking at this and that.
He already treated Jeok Ye as a dead man.
He examined the desk, looked out the window briefly, then went to the bedding where Jeok Ye was sitting and lifted the blanket like someone who came to clean.
Rather than being covered in fresh blood, pink blood was smeared here and there in round shapes.
That looked even more miserable.
Jeok Ye was quite surprised that Dan Wooseong said nothing and just walked around. This was especially so because no man had ever ignored him like this before.
Dan Wooseong, who had been walking around, glanced at Jeok Ye's expression and eyes and muttered to himself,
"......This one seems impossible to reform. How should I kill him so rumors spread widely around?"
Jeok Ye laughed as if finding it absurd and said,
"Rumors sound good. We can fight on the street. Let's gather spectators and have a match. I'll do as you wish."
When Jeok Ye stood up, he became large enough to look down at Dan Wooseong.
Jeok Ye glanced at the window once, then swung his right foot in a way that didn't match his large frame, aiming a kick at Dan Wooseong's cheek. He intended to send him flying straight outside.
When Dan Wooseong stepped back slightly, Jeok Ye's foot and wind swept past his face like an arrow. Then Dan Wooseong made the same motion, swinging his left foot in a curved kick, and Jeok Ye raised his right arm to block it.
But it wasn't an attack that would end just by blocking.
Crack— Crash!
Jeok Ye's massive body, having blocked the kick, smashed through the window and flew outside the Warm Affection Building. It wasn't just the window that broke, but the entire wall where the window had been was pierced through.
With a bang, the door opened and Jeok Ye's guards looked back and forth between the huge hole in the wall and Dan Wooseong.
Dan Wooseong walked to the pierced wall and leisurely stood there, watching Jeok Ye who had fallen outside.
Jeok Ye seemed to have used falling techniques in the midst of it all. He was loosening his body by turning his neck this way and that.
Dan Wooseong had intended to finish things in a place where people were gathered anyway.
After looking at Jeok Ye, Dan Wooseong lightly jumped down from the fifth floor and looked around.
Jeok Ye was more surprised seeing Dan Wooseong land surprisingly quietly from the fifth floor height than by being hit by the kick.
Jeok Ye's subordinates were already filling the surroundings. Having seen Jeok Ye fight often, they had made the space wide and were waiting.
Forces from Zhangshan Sect, Old Leopard Gang, Jiao Long Gang, and Red Happy Fortress pushed out others and positioned themselves at the front.
It wasn't only young people.
Those who looked like they had rolled around the martial world for decades were also waiting with weapons in hand.
Jeok Ye wouldn't have been intimidated by just one kick.
Dan Wooseong wanted to show the result of this fight to many people.
Whether all his subordinates attacked or not, Jeok Ye would die here.
If even a few men had supported or looked pitifully at the bleeding woman, Dan Wooseong wouldn't have been this angry.
Dan Wooseong was completely silent.
Because he was angry, he rather needed time to calm his mind.
From somewhere came a sliding sound, then two men dragged over an incredibly heavy-looking iron chain with difficulty and handed it over.
Jeok Ye took the iron chain and spun it around with one hand.
It was an unusually large Meteor Hammer. Regardless of techniques, most weapons would be sent flying after being hit by the meteor hammer without even getting close.
Only then did Jeok Ye smile and charge forward. The massive meteor hammer flew toward Dan Wooseong in a curved trajectory.
Whoosh!
Dan Wooseong ducked his head once, then grabbed the passing meteor hammer with his right hand and slowly pulled it like playing tug-of-war.
Clang! Clang!
In an instant, the meteor hammer's chain stretched taut in a straight line, and the massive Jeok Ye was dragged forward with both feet planted on the ground.
Scrape scrape scrape.......
Even as Jeok Ye pulled at the meteor hammer with both hands, the distance gradually closed.
Using the rebound from pulling the meteor hammer, Jeok Ye soared into the air and charged at Dan Wooseong at high speed to grab him. It was a fast and bold movement like a massive beast pouncing.
Unfortunately, he seemed to have trained in meteor hammer and fist techniques.
It was clearly revealed in his movements that Jeok Ye hadn't learned alone but had inherited martial arts from an orthodox fist practitioner. He looked like he had long trained in methods of suppressing weapons using his overwhelming physique.
However, every time he threw a punch, the flow of his movements was clearly visible, and since Dan Wooseong was faster, he had no intention of drawing out a long offensive and defensive battle.
Jeok Ye, who had learned fist techniques, was facing the King of Fist.
Could there be a worse matchup than this?
After dodging punches and kicks several times, Dan Wooseong used Teleportation Light Arts to get behind Jeok Ye and drove one punch into his side.
Only the person hit in the ribs understands that pain.
"Urk."
Dan Wooseong's fist was nearly buried in his torso before being pulled out.
With a short groan, Jeok Ye swung his left arm backward in a striking motion.
Dan Wooseong thought that having such a large opponent meant there were many places to hit. Approaching with short, chopping motions of Teleportation Light Arts, Dan Wooseong struck upward at Jeok Ye's abdomen.
Thud.
This time too, his fist was buried as if pushing through Jeok Ye's abdominal muscles before being pulled out. Even in the midst of this, Jeok Ye painfully threw the punches he had trained and attacked Dan Wooseong.
However, every time he launched an attack, Dan Wooseong's fist struck precisely. From face, abdomen, jaw, to ribs again, sounds like a large drum bursting spread rhythmically.
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
The moment Jeok Ye's knees wavered, Dan Wooseong grabbed Jeok Ye's collar and slammed him to the ground in an overhead throw following a circular trajectory.
Thud!
It was no different from lifting and slamming down that bulk with a harmony of inner and outer qi.
Even so, Jeok Ye didn't lose consciousness.
Dan Wooseong pressed Jeok Ye's neck with his left knee, then grabbed Jeok Ye's face with his right hand as if squeezing it.
"Aaaahhhhh......"
Dan Wooseong looked at the spectators while injecting the lightning qi of White Lightning Ten-Stage Art.
When two men began charging from behind with swords, Dan Wooseong stood up, took a hand-blade stance, then mercilessly poured out blade lightning qi.
In a way, this attack could be said to truly demonstrate Dan Wooseong's skill.
Splat!
The necks of the charging men bounced up and separated, and two corpses with only torsos left fell face-down on the ground, spouting fountains of blood.
Meanwhile, Dan Wooseong again stepped down on Jeok Ye's neck with his left foot as he tried to get up. Then Dan Wooseong knelt on one knee again, grabbed Jeok Ye's face and injected the lightning qi of White Lightning Ten-Stage Art. This time it contained second-stage power.
"Aaaahhhhh......gasp!"
Dan Wooseong covered Jeok Ye's mouth with his left hand, then grabbed his head with his right hand and drew up the lightning qi of White Lightning Ten-Stage Art.
When a man from Jiao Long Gang on the left carefully moved one step, Dan Wooseong's head, which had been pouring out lightning qi, slowly turned.
The man who was about to move and Dan Wooseong made eye contact.
At that moment, Dan Wooseong stretched his right hand toward the man in a chopping motion while releasing Thunder Roar. White lightning qi that instantly became massive in fist shape covered the man's entire body.
Crash!
Not only the man, but five or six members of Jiao Long Gang who were waiting in matching uniforms simultaneously flew backward. Of course, those hit by Thunder Roar lay on the cold ground without moving.
Dan Wooseong again injected lightning qi while still gripping the head of Jeok Ye, who was still holding out.
Screams writhed in Jeok Ye's throat.
Probably words crying to be spared.
Dan Wooseong didn't want to hear any words.
He kept his mouth blocked while gradually raising the lightning qi. From second stage to third stage, third stage to fourth stage, and when it reached fifth stage, Dan Wooseong's right hand was wrapped in white light. When peace settled over Jeok Ye's body that had been writhing as if emitting light, Dan Wooseong quietly removed his hand.
Was it over?
No.
Dan Wooseong, who had been kneeling on one knee in the stance he used when breaking rocks, raised his right hand then swung his fist down into Jeok Ye's face.
Crack! With the sound, Jeok Ye's head was buried in the ground.
The ground around it cracked in twisted line patterns as if lightning had been carved into it.
Only then did Dan Wooseong stand up while brushing dust off his knees. Dan Wooseong crossed his arms and gave them some time. He was hoping for more to attack. But in a situation where Jeok Ye had died so miserably, who could possibly attack? Finally, confirming that no one was attacking, Dan Wooseong looked around and said,
"What are you people to collect tribute?"
There was no one who could answer.
Dan Wooseong's figure, surrounded by quite many Dark Path men, looked like a spokesperson sent by those who had suffered or met death somewhere.
Dan Wooseong looked at a man who seemed quite strong, Guangpiao, as if pointing him out and asked,
"What are you...... answer me."
When there was no answer, Dan Wooseong's form disappeared like a flash and appeared in front of Guangpiao, swinging one punch. With a thud, Guangpiao's body flew through the air. Dan Wooseong struck, trampled, grabbed the heads of fleeing men to inject lightning qi, then poured blade lightning qi toward those who charged at him.
.
.
.
A man who had been fleeing some distance away tripped over someone's foot and fell. Startled, he turned his head to see a man wearing a grotesque human skin mask holding an umbrella painted entirely black.
Just before the man brought down the umbrella, he said,
"......Two thousand eight hundred seventy-four."
Thud!
Then the heavy iron umbrella fell in a simple trajectory and smashed the man's head.
Of course, it was Cheol Myeongho.
"I remember all your faces, you bastards."
Cheol Myeongho struck down with his umbrella in the air once more and muttered quietly,
"Two thousand eight hundred seventy-five."
