Chapter 10

Ch. 10

Dan Wooseong, the King of Fist, Takes It 1

When Dan Wooseong entered an ordinary inn, everyone he met welcomed the Great Young Master.

The first and second floors were places where those who came up from gambling ate food or drank alcohol, and there was a gambling house in the basement. Outsiders whose identities hadn't been verified could only use the first and second floors, but Dan Wooseong went down to the basement without anyone stopping him.

The lower floor was always filled with smoke because there were many who smoked forgetfulness grass or hallucinogenic herbs while gambling. Those who moved around doing errands or clearing tables bowed their heads slightly whenever they saw Dan Wooseong.

Some guys didn't even know that the Great Young Master of the Galaxy Merchant Group had visited the Ahn Family. They just had expressions like they were seeing him after a long time.

Dan Wooseong looked around at the gamblers and headed toward the room at the very end.

The fat gatekeeper standing in front of the iron door said,

"Have you come?"

Dan Wooseong looked at the man whose flesh still rippled unchanged and said,

"Lose some weight."

The gatekeeper asked back in surprise,

"Pardon?"

"Open the door."

The gatekeeper tilted his head and opened the iron door.

When Dan Wooseong entered, the gatekeeper who closed the heavy iron door again turned around with a still bewildered expression.

"Has he gone mad?"

The reason Dan Wooseong could freely come and go to this place was because he had personally paid the initial costs for establishing it. Whether it was borrowed or extorted was ambiguous to determine, but in any case, the establishment costs were the Great Young Master's money.

Moreover, he had often come here to gamble. As gambling houses always are, he won at first, then kept losing afterward.

He didn't even remember how much money he had poured in.

However, eating and drinking on the first and second floors was free. That was because he had been throwing money around enough to more than make up for the calculations.

In the bare room with no particular furnishings, there were a few desks and chairs, and at the desk sat Cheol Myeongho, the owner of the gambling house known as the Venom Fox, eating noodles.

Cheol Myeongho said toward Dan Wooseong who was approaching,

"You came?"

The sound of slurping soup followed.

Cheol Myeongho, who had a sturdy build, had once had his cheek pierced by a blade, so his appearance was so fierce that ordinary people couldn't look at his face properly. Of course, the man who stabbed his cheek had been killed by Cheol Myeongho.

As Dan Wooseong sat in the chair placed in front of Cheol Myeongho, he looked at the two big men seated across from him.

They were men who settled disputes that occurred in the gambling house or went around collecting money that had been lent out here and there. The two people said to Dan Wooseong in emotionless tones,

"Have you come?"

"It's been a long time."

Cheol Myeongho clicked his tongue and scolded his subordinates.

"Tsk, you heartless bastards. My friend was sick and returned after recuperating for a while. Show some interest in people. Ask about his well-being. Bastards who only waste food."

The two people replied to Cheol Myeongho with stiff expressions,

"We didn't know. We're sorry."

The Venom Fox Cheol Myeongho and Lee Jin-eon had been friends since childhood.

Although they were friends, it was a relationship where Lee Jin-eon was unilaterally beaten, involving violence when they were young and financial relationships as they grew up.

Cheol Myeongho observed Dan Wooseong, whose mood had grown heavy, then took out several hundred-nyang gambling house vouchers from his drawer and placed them on the table.

"Since you came after a long time, play around before you go. Your hands must have been itching while recuperating."

He spoke as if being generous, but it was obvious he would squander it all here anyway.

There was a reason he was a sucker. The fact that the gambling house owner was giving him spending money also meant that the Great Young Master had spent a lot of money here. Cheol Myeongho took out one more real voucher and stacked it, then clapped his palms together and said,

"No. Go to Golden Flower Pavilion first. Go there and have a good time, and have a drink too."

When Dan Wooseong stared blankly at the money, Cheol Myeongho grinned and said,

"It's fine. Our Galaxy Merchant Group's Great Young Master, I'll treat you big time to celebrate your return. Hmm, but did someone pull out your tongue? Why aren't you talking, you bastard? So frustrating."

Dan Wooseong pointed with his chin at the noodles Cheol Myeongho had been eating and said,

"Give me that."

"What? This?"

Cheol Myeongho pushed the bowl of noodles he had been eating with chopsticks stuck in it toward Dan Wooseong.

Dan Wooseong ate the noodles. A large amount of noodles came with one chopstick-full and disappeared into Dan Wooseong's mouth. After eating all the noodles with two chopstick movements, Dan Wooseong lifted the bowl with one hand and cleanly drank the remaining broth.

Cheol Myeongho laughed and said,

"Didn't you eat? You eat good food at your house, so why come here to eat noodles? Anyway, you're not someone who lives with a sound mind either."

Dan Wooseong made a burping sound, then pushed the bowl away and stared blankly at Cheol Myeongho's guards, the brothers Yuk Myeongbo and Yuk Jinbo.

What should their identity be called?

They weren't Black Path. They fought frequently here and there. They went around collecting money borrowed from the gambling house. Breaking the arms and legs of those who ran away or didn't pay back with clubs was their main daily routine. The short clubs they stuck in their waists when they went out were also on the table and several were carelessly placed on chairs.

Most people who had been hit by those clubs said it was most painful when the bones were struck.

Dan Wooseong said while still looking at the guard brothers with both eyes,

"Myeongho."

"What? Did your father scold you again? Or did you run away from home? The atmosphere is strange today. You can stay and sleep for a few days. It's not just anyone else, and if you want to sleep here, who among our guys would dislike it? There are many empty rooms upstairs."

"It's not running away from home..."

"Then what?"

Dan Wooseong was reviewing his memories and gauging whether it was appropriate to kill Cheol Myeongho, or if it would be enough to just break a few places.

Lee Jin-eon's memories were evidence, and Dan Wooseong was examining the evidence and making a judgment.

Dan Wooseong, who had made up his mind, said,

"Myeongho, give me the key."

"What key?"

Dan Wooseong sighed softly and said,

"What key would it be? The safe key."

Cheol Myeongho tilted his head and looked at his guards while muttering,

"Safe key? What are you talking about? Ah, you want the safe key? You want money?"

Cheol Myeongho blinked with his mouth half open.

'Has this guy gone crazy?'

Since the guy who had been getting beaten since childhood was asking him to take out the safe key, Cheol Myeongho couldn't understand right away.

Cheol Myeongho asked with a bewildered expression,

"Why the safe key?"

Dan Wooseong explained,

"I'm just going to take the money and go. I think I invested roughly several thousand nyang here, so calculating the investment recovery money, interest, and even what I was blatantly swindled by the dealers outside, about a hundred thousand nyang would be appropriate. I also calculated what I got beaten for. The medicine costs were quite expensive."

Cheol Myeongho said in a subdued tone,

"Tsk, you crazy bastard. There are hundreds of thousands of nyang in the safe. Is there only money? There are also jewelry, gold, and silver. But that's all the money I'll give you. And how do several thousand nyang become a hundred thousand nyang? If you need money, just ask to borrow it. Wouldn't I lend you money? Even if I lent it to you, would I send guys to pester you like I do to others?"

Cheol Myeongho's voice gradually rose like climbing an uphill road.

"You pay back well on your own. You could ask nicely, but you come in with a frown and ask for the safe key? Has half your head gone crazy? What kind of crazy bastard comes here and acts up? Acts up! Get your wits about you! You son of a bitch! Did you forget that I'm Cheol Myeongho?"

At the end, he shouted almost like screaming, so with a clang sound, the gatekeeper poked his head in.

"Boss, is there any trouble?"

Cheol Myeongho said to the gatekeeper,

"Close it."

"Yes, sorry."

The gatekeeper closed the iron door thinking that the Galaxy Merchant Group's Great Young Master was going to get fleeced again after a long time.

Cheol Myeongho said,

"What's wrong with you? Don't you want to live?"

The guard brothers who had been sitting across from Dan Wooseong stood up as if to control the atmosphere.

Yuk Myeongbo and Yuk Jinbo were called the Twin Treasure Brothers, and they were fighters who could beat down about ten ordinary men even if they attacked as a group with their fists. Each one was stronger than even Cheol Myeongho, but they had somewhat simple-minded aspects, so they were guys who always followed the words of Cheol Myeongho, who fed and housed them.

Lee Jin-eon couldn't understand them at all, but Dan Wooseong could roughly understand what kind of people they were.

They had never lived normal lives, and their way of thinking was, to put it nicely, pure, and to put it badly, somewhat dim-witted. Simply put, they were people who had no aspect of 'calculating' at all.

Cheol Myeongho made an irritated expression and said to the Twin Treasure Brothers,

"Hey, make this bastard kneel on the floor. I'm so annoyed that... He needs to get beaten to come to his senses."

"Yes."

The Twin Treasure Brothers approached side by side and simultaneously grabbed Dan Wooseong's shoulders with their large hands. Since Dan Wooseong showed no particular reaction, their movements weren't very rough. They planned to lift him up and make him kneel.

Dan Wooseong grabbed the Twin Treasure Brothers' wrists.

With a crushing sound, as their wrists were strongly gripped, the Twin Treasure Brothers opened their eyes wide. It was tremendous grip strength.

Dan Wooseong pulled the arm of Yuk Jinbo, whom he was holding with his right hand, and kicked his abdomen. With a thud sound, Yuk Jinbo flew to the wall and collided with it, then Dan Wooseong pulled Yuk Myeongbo and struck his jaw upward with his right fist.

Thud!

Yuk Myeongbo's large body soared into the air and crashed to the floor.

Thump!

Then Yuk Myeongbo and Yuk Jinbo frowned and squirmed on the floor before struggling to get up.

Dan Wooseong had no intention of killing these two people. Even so, they had been hit by punches and kicks and flew through the air, yet they had no fear at all. That was proof that they had experienced many rough fights.

Cheol Myeongho was speechless.

"Wow, you beat the Twin Treasure Brothers..."

He had never seen anyone who could handle the Twin Treasure Brothers like this, so he had no choice but to be more surprised.

When Yuk Myeongbo only raised his upper body, Dan Wooseong's knee flew to his face and collided.

Thud! With the sound, Yuk Myeongbo fainted.

Then Dan Wooseong, who walked toward Yuk Jinbo who had gotten up from the wall, grabbed Yuk Jinbo's simple punch with both hands, then floated in the air and wrapped both feet around Yuk Jinbo's arm and immediately twisted it.

Crack crack crack!

Yuk Jinbo's arm completely turned in one direction, and then when Dan Wooseong used his thigh as a lever and bent it in the reverse direction, there was a snapping sound from the arm.

Yuk Jinbo grimaced in agony.

Dan Wooseong released his arm and said,

"Twin Treasure, I went easy on you, so stay quiet. If you attack more, I'll have no choice but to kill you."

Yuk Myeongbo, who had been struck by the knee, was unconscious, and Yuk Jinbo was sweating profusely all over his face while trying to set the bones of his broken arm.

In a way, they were more vicious guys than even Cheol Myeongho. Because of their natural strength and physical superiority, they hadn't even learned martial arts, yet they possessed defensive abilities like having Guard Technique.

Dan Wooseong grabbed a short club that was lying on a chair with his right hand and approached Cheol Myeongho. This club was perfect for hitting bones.

"Myeongho, why are you being like this when you're usually quick-witted?"

Cheol Myeongho grabbed the straight sword he had placed under the table and replied,

"Damn it, so annoying."

The moment Cheol Myeongho stood up, Dan Wooseong threw the short club like handling a dagger.

Whiz! Smack!

As the short club hit Cheol Myeongho's face and flew somewhere, Cheol Myeongho covered his face with one hand.

"Argh!"
