Transcendent Star Immortal Sect
"You... you... you demon!"
"Hehehe... become one with this Emperor."
Boom!
The gates of the Netherworld swung open.
Yin Yudie was directly dragged inside by ghostly hands, vanishing without a trace.
"Phew." Gu Qingfeng let out a long breath. "Another wicked female ghost dealt with. Truly a virtuous deed."
He then raised his hand, and a bottomless rift tore open in the sky above the City of Yin and Evil. A colossal black hand descended from the heavens, reaching for the group of ghostly immortals below.
The ghostly immortals screamed and fled, but against this monstrous black hand, resistance was futile.
In moments, they were all seized and brought before Gu Qingfeng.
His cold, indifferent gaze swept over them as he spoke icily, "This Emperor has no patience for your meaningless words. You will answer my questions—nothing more."
"I—"
Boom!
A ghostly immortal in the form of a crimson skeleton barely uttered a single word before Gu Qingfeng exploded its head. Its body wasn’t wasted either, dragged into the Netherworld gates by ghostly hands.
The remaining ghostly immortals trembled in fear.
They weren’t fools. The fact that Gu Qingfeng had effortlessly captured them already revealed a fraction of his terrifying power. Combined with his brazen actions and Yin Yudie’s absence, the truth was clear.
"My lord, please ask, and I—"
Boom!
An elderly-looking ghostly immortal met his end.
"Did this Emperor permit you to speak? Are you worthless insects incapable of understanding human speech?" Gu Qingfeng’s eyes blazed with demonic light, forcing the remaining ghostly immortals to bow their heads in terror.
"Good. First question—where is my dear son?"
The group exchanged uneasy glances, none daring to speak, too terrified by Gu Qingfeng’s unpredictability.
Growing impatient, Gu Qingfeng summoned a ghastly claw from the Netherworld gates, seizing a ghostly immortal by the throat and lifting him high.
"Where?"
"Spare... spare me... I don’t know—"
Swish!
The ghostly immortal was yanked into the Netherworld gates, followed by the eerie, bone-chilling sound of gnawing bones.
The remaining ghostly immortals shuddered in horror.
One after another, the claw claimed its victims until finally, someone spoke.
"In the dungeon."
"Where is the dungeon?"
"Beneath this very mansion."
"Good. Second question—where does Yin Yudie keep her treasures?"
"I... I don’t know—"
Swish!
Another one perished.
In the end, after executing every last ghostly immortal, none revealed the location of the vault. Clearly, Yin Yudie had kept it a secret from all.
But it didn’t matter. As long as it was within the City of Yin and Evil, he would find it eventually.
For now, Gu Qingfeng turned his attention to rescuing his dear son.
With a single stomp—
Boom!
The ground beneath his foot shattered like a spider’s web, collapsing into a gaping hole.
Gu Qingfeng descended into the underground.
Soon, he arrived at a sinister dungeon illuminated by eerie green ghost flames. Hundreds of cells lined the space, each stained with dried black-red blood and littered with skeletal remains.
Yet, some prisoners still lived.
"Father! Father! I’m here! I knew you’d come for me!"
Ye Wuyou, short-limbed and disheveled, jumped excitedly in his cell, his face alight with joy.
He was genuinely overjoyed. Never had he imagined his adoptive father would actually come to his rescue. Moved, he silently vowed in his heart:
When I become a Celestial King and defeat Father, I’ll only torture him for 9,999 years instead of 10,000.
"Hmph!" Gu Qingfeng glared at the pitiful state of Ye Wuyou and snorted in displeasure. "Useless! You disgrace me! Get out here now!"
With a wave of his hand, the cell bars shattered.
Ye Wuyou scrambled out, his face full of flattery, though inwardly he revoked the one-year mercy he’d just granted his father.
Just then, a weak voice called from the deepest cell.
"Fellow Daoist! Please, save me! I am Bai Yunhe, a core disciple of the Stellar Transformation Sect! If you help me, my sect will reward you handsomely!"
Gu Qingfeng turned to see a young man in tattered white robes, his face smeared with blood, shackled in chains, pleading desperately.
Stellar Transformation Sect?
Gu Qingfeng’s interest was piqued. He recalled Yan Jingyun mentioning the major factions of the Sixth Star Ruins. Beyond the top-tier forces led by Celestial Kings, the second-tier factions were those with Great Luo Golden Immortals.
Among them, the Stellar Transformation Sect stood out. Its founder, the Stellar Transformation Ancestor, was renowned for his Stellar Transformation Art, ranking among the strongest Great Luo Golden Immortals.
Such a sect might know something about the secrets of the Tear of the Stars.
Boom!
Gu Qingfeng casually shattered Bai Yunhe’s cell door and broke his chains.
Instantly, a brilliant immortal light erupted from Bai Yunhe—a radiance befitting a Mystic Immortal.
When the light faded, Bai Yunhe’s wounds and filth had vanished. In their place stood a pristine figure in snow-white robes, his sharp brows and bright eyes exuding a warm, grateful smile.
He bowed deeply. "Many thanks, Fellow Daoist. I will never forget your kindness. May I know your name?"
"Gu Qingfeng."
"I am Bai Yunhe. I swear upon my honor to repay your kindness in full."
"No need to wait. Repay me now."
Bai Yunhe blinked in surprise, then chuckled awkwardly. "Fellow Daoist, I would gladly repay you immediately, but Yin Yudie confiscated all my treasures—immortal weapons, pills, everything. I have nothing to offer at the moment."
Gu Qingfeng shook his head. "Just answer one question."
"I will speak all I know."
"Do you know of the Tear of the Stars?"
"Tear of the Stars?"
Bai Yunhe frowned in thought before shaking his head apologetically. "Forgive my ignorance, but I’ve never heard of it. However, Fellow Daoist, rest assured—my Stellar Transformation Sect holds considerable influence in the Sixth Star Ruins. My senior brothers and sisters are well-traveled and knowledgeable.
I’ve been missing for days, and they must be searching for me. Unfortunately, Yin Yudie sealed my powers, preventing me from contacting them.
If you’re not in a hurry, I can summon them. They may know of the Tear of the Stars."
Gu Qingfeng nodded. "Very well."
"Then please, wait a moment."
Bai Yunhe formed a hand seal, sending out an imperceptible ripple into the void.
