My Name Resounds Throughout the Universe
"Where did that demon go?"
"That's... the territory of the Fallen Feather Clan!"
"Could it be that the Immortal Phoenix Herb was snatched by the Fallen Feather Clan?"
"Highly likely. The Fallen Feather Clan is renowned for their speed—they might have succeeded."
Amid the murmurs of the crowd, Gu Qingfeng had already traversed countless miles, arriving at the Netherdark Domain, the stronghold of the Fallen Feather Clan. As an ancient race with profound heritage, the Fallen Feather Clan dominated this entire realm.
The moment Gu Qingfeng arrived, a sea of golden flames abruptly blazed across the sky above the Netherdark Domain. The temperature soared instantly, as if the sun itself had descended.
Countless members of the Fallen Feather Clan looked up in terror, their faces paling as they beheld a celestial king astride a qilin, standing tall within the golden inferno.
The celestial king was unfathomable, his divine radiance illuminating the cosmos.
"What is that?!"
"A Quasi-Emperor! That qilin is a Quasi-Emperor!"
"If he rides a Quasi-Emperor qilin, could that man be the Heavenly Emperor?"
"Hand over the Immortal Phoenix Herb," Gu Qingfeng's voice boomed, shaking the entire Netherdark Domain.
The Immortal Phoenix Herb?
Most of the Fallen Feather Clan members wore blank expressions, their cultivation too weak to perceive events millions of miles away. Only the higher-ups turned ashen-faced—because they knew full well that their ancestor had secretly slipped out moments ago.
In an instant, the Leader of the Fallen Feather Clan, accompanied by several supreme experts, ascended into the sky and bowed to Gu Qingfeng. "Elder Gu, may we inquire as to the purpose of your visit?"
Gu Qingfeng glanced at them, noting their distinct features—humanoid, yet with a pair of jet-black wings exuding an eerie, cursed aura.
It made him wonder: did the Fallen Feather Clan count as demons?
Truth be told, after years of using the system, he had pieced together some clues about its criteria for identifying demons. It wasn’t as simple as creatures or spirits.
The system’s definition of "demons" wasn’t tied to race but to the nature of their power. Any being wielding utterly malevolent energy was classified as a demon.
A human cultivator dabbling in demonic arts didn’t qualify—only those fully corrupted did.
Take demonic cultivators, for example. Many practiced dark arts, but unless they underwent complete transformation, they weren’t considered demons.
Even the Heavenly Dao of the Azure Realm, which by nature shouldn’t be demonic, was labeled as such once tainted by demonic energy.
Then there was the Abomination, a coalescence of the world’s wicked thoughts—hardly a traditional demon, yet still marked by the system.
As for classic demons like qilins, fox spirits, or serpent demons, their overwhelming demonic aura made them obvious targets.
Thus, Gu Qingfeng concluded that the system’s "demons" referred to any entity wielding evil power.
In a way, the system seemed righteous, standing firmly against all malevolence.
The thought filled Gu Qingfeng with a sense of pride, as if he too embodied justice.
"Address me as Heavenly Emperor," Gu Qingfeng said coolly.
The Leader of the Fallen Feather Clan and his companions stiffened.
"Heavenly Emperor Gu, what brings you to our clan?"
"Hmph! You insects better hand over the Immortal Phoenix Herb, or today I will bathe the Fallen Feather Clan in blood!" Gu Qingfeng declared, his tone dripping with disdain.
The Leader’s face twisted in fury, but recalling how Gu Qingfeng had subdued the qilin, he forced himself to yield.
"Heavenly Emperor Gu, the Immortal Phoenix Herb was last seen flying south. Our clan resides in the north—how could we have taken it? Surely this is a misunderstanding."
"Exactly! Heavenly Emperor Gu, accusations require evidence. You can’t just claim we stole it without proof.
"Our clan has two Quasi-Emperors, both in deep slumber. How could they have seized the herb?"
Gu Qingfeng smirked. "So, you’re saying I’ve wronged you? The herb isn’t here?"
Seeing his softened tone, the Leader brightened.
"No blame is necessary—just a simple misunderstanding, now resolved."
Gu Qingfeng nodded. "Since the misunderstanding is cleared, let’s move on to the next matter."
The Leader blinked. "Next matter?"
"Your disrespect in addressing me. My name echoes across the cosmos, known from the Endless Seas in the east to the Sunset Abyss in the west, from the Savage Mountains in the south to the Frozen Wastes in the north. Every sentient being knows it.
"Yet you dared to get it wrong. Clearly, you hold no respect for me. For this crime, I offer two choices: present another Immortal Phoenix Herb as apology, or I exterminate your clan. Choose now."
"What?!" The Leader gaped, momentarily stunned.
Then, rage overtook him. "Heavenly Emperor Gu, I just told you—we didn’t take the herb! You can’t falsely accuse us!"
Gu Qingfeng sneered. "Are you deaf? I know you didn’t take it. This isn’t about the herb—it’s about your insult to me. If you don’t make amends, today you die."
"Gu Qingfeng! You’re just looking for a fight! This is outrageous!" the Leader shouted, desperation creeping in.
"Keh keh keh... So what if I am? What will you do about it?"
"You—such banditry! Aren’t you afraid of the world’s scorn?"
"The world only scorns the weak."
"Enough. My patience wears thin. Count to three—no herb, and you all perish."
The Leader and his companions exchanged uneasy glances, weighing their options.
"Three!"
"What?!" They jerked their heads up—only to meet a fist the size of a cauldron.
Boom!
The punch shook the world. Stars reeled, mountains crumbled, and the heavens inverted.
In an instant, the Leader and his entourage turned to dust.
The entire Fallen Feather Clan stared blankly at the celestial king in the sky, terror and disbelief spreading like wildfire.
The faint-hearted fled in panic, throwing the clan into chaos.
Gu Qingfeng frowned. He hadn’t expected the two old monsters to remain so composed—even after he slaughtered their leaders, they showed no reaction.
It seemed the Immortal Phoenix Herb mattered more than their kin.
So be it.
Boom!
Another punch erupted, a pillar of primal chaos smashing toward the heart of the Fallen Feather Clan.
That was precisely the sealed resting place of the two Quasi-Emperors of the Fallen Feather Clan.
