I Have a Lot, Bear With Me
The first time Gu Qingfeng saw a spirit stone was at the dimensional passage, where Xiang Tian used it to set up an array.
At the time, he didn’t pay much attention to the glimmering stone, assuming it was just a material infused with natural energy for formations.
Now, looking back, he suddenly felt a pang of regret.
Truly, he hadn’t recognized its value at first glance—only to realize too late that he was now broke!
Damn it, he didn’t have a single spirit stone to his name!
If only he had "borrowed" some when he landed at the airfield earlier.
Hmm… though that wouldn’t have been appropriate. What kind of man takes money from a lady just for looking at her?
Come to think of it, the Elephant Demon was also from the Cangming Realm—he must have some spirit stones.
Without hesitation, Gu Qingfeng reached out through the Heavenly Dao, connecting with the Elephant Demon, who was currently hosting a banquet.
"You there, hand over all your spirit stones."
"Ahhh!"
The Elephant Demon, still whimpering in pain, quickly replied, "My lord, this humble demon has no spirit stones!"
"Bullshit! If Xiang Tian had them, how can you not?"
"My lord, most of my spirit stones were borrowed by Xiang Tian, and the few I had left were all used for healing!"
"Spirit stones can heal?"
"Spirit stones contain refined natural energy. They can be used not just for healing, but also for cultivation, forging artifacts, and setting up formations."
Hearing this, Gu Qingfeng realized spirit stones were far more valuable than gold or silver.
"Fine, hang up."
With that, he ended the call.
The young guide, seeing Gu Qingfeng remain silent and not offering payment, grew uneasy and considered backing out.
"Senior, I—"
"Will pills do?"
The boy froze, then brightened. "Pills? Of course!"
Gu Qingfeng nodded and took out a Cultivation Foundation Pill.
The boy accepted it, but his excitement quickly faded. "S-Senior… was this pill made from weeds? The energy it holds is barely more than taking a deep breath!"
Gu Qingfeng’s face darkened.
Damn this Cangming Realm!
Reluctantly, he produced a higher-grade Ascension Pill.
Only then did the boy’s enthusiasm return.
"Thank you, Senior! Where would you like to go first?"
After a moment’s thought, Gu Qingfeng decided his priority was exchanging for spirit stones. A hero without money was like a bird without wings—utterly helpless.
Fortunately, aside from gold and silver, he had mountains of rare treasures, pills, and spirit weapons—most of which he no longer needed—perfect for trading.
As for his piles of gold and silver, he’d find a way to spend them all in his palm-sized world later.
"I have some materials to sell."
"Senior, I recommend the Myriad Treasures Trading House. It’s the largest in Sunset City, with branches across the Verdant Wood Domain. They handle auctions—if you’re not in a hurry, selling there fetches higher prices. Of course, they also buy directly."
"Lead the way."
Gu Qingfeng kept his words brief, exuding the demeanor of an expert to salvage his earlier embarrassment.
Soon, under the boy’s guidance, they arrived before a grand three-story hall, its golden plaque reading [Myriad Treasures Trading House].
Two graceful attendants in flowing robes stood at the entrance, their peach-blossom cheeks adorned with polite smiles.
Spotting Gu Qingfeng, they bowed respectfully and ushered him inside with flawless service.
If there was any flaw, it was that their attire wasn’t revealing enough.
Inside, Gu Qingfeng met a steward—a Human Yuan Realm cultivator with a clean-shaven, amiable face.
Though Gu Qingfeng was only at the Divine Soul Realm, his noble bearing suggested a prestigious background, so the steward respectfully escorted him to a reception room.
Once seated, Gu Qingfeng cut to the chase.
"Please present the items you wish to sell," the steward said courteously.
Gu Qingfeng glanced around. "Here?"
"Is there a problem?"
"My stock is substantial. I’m afraid it won’t fit."
The steward’s lips twitched. How much could one man have? Enough to fill the room?
"Sir, this space may seem small, but it’s enchanted with spatial folding. The actual area is ten times larger than it appears. Even a small mountain would fit."
"Very well."
Convinced, Gu Qingfeng proceeded to unload the fruits of his "hard work" from the Green Realm.
Boom!
A small mountain of spirit weapons, pills, and rare materials materialized, instantly occupying half the room.
The dazzling glow of treasures nearly blinded the steward, who gaped in shock.
He actually brought a mountain!?
Though most were low-grade, the sheer quantity was staggering.
Unaware of the steward’s astonishment—obscured by the pile—Gu Qingfeng mused.
This was just the treasury of the Great Yan Dynasty. The far wealthier Demon Kingdom’s hoard remained untouched.
Assuming the spatial array could handle it, he willed the Demon Kingdom’s treasury forth.
Disaster struck.
At just a tenth of its contents, the room was packed to the brim.
The steward recoiled as a flood of treasures surged toward him, pressing him into a corner.
Panicking, he summoned a barrier to avoid being buried alive.
"Sir! Stop! It’s too much! The array can’t take it!"
"This isn’t even half! I warned you. Hold on, I’m almost done."
"No! The formation will collapse! Let’s do this gradually!"
Reluctantly, Gu Qingfeng halted.
"Fine. Appraise these first and convert everything to spirit stones."
The steward nodded frantically, summoning every clerk to assist.
The appraisal took hours, stretching from day to night.
Gu Qingfeng stayed the entire time—partly to supervise (who knew if they’d skim a piece or two?), and partly to indulge.
As a VIP, he had the two lovely attendants massaging his shoulders and legs while he watched.
Though most items were basic-tier, their sheer volume was overwhelming.
It was like depositing pennies at a bank—one or two meant nothing, but a billion? Even the bank president would come count them personally.
