It's okay, but that's it. Setting is solid but nothing special, plot is weak, characters are weak (the protagonist isn't really likable, having a lot of negative personality traits, but then you may find it refreshing as he's not some kind of Gary Stu, and it all has a comedic spin on it), and the comedy is carrying the story. Don't expect a story about a jailer - it very quickly turns into more of a cultivation story, and MC very quickly stops being a jailer and spending time in the prison. ... more>> Something I find quite disappointing as at least it made for a somewhat unique premise. Fun enjoyable read The plot is very generic and you can totally expect the direction of the story just by looking at the summary but its packaged in a way that it doesn't make it boring. MC is very unhinged and that is basically the charm of the story. Highly recommended.

What an absolute fun ride of a story from start to finish. This an unhinged comedic power fantasy that took fun at obliterating normal cultivation tropes. It doesn't parodied them, the MC just destroy it with absolute violence. The MC's cheat is absolutely broken and author make it stay that way until the end despite its niche condition. The absurdity the MC had to do just to follow the condition. The MC is also very delightful character. Growing from hard working young man to unhinged demonic entity without shred of morality ... more>> and conscience that poisonous to both enemies and allies. He is someone who is both feared by people on his side and opponent's side. His hilarious attempt to goat demon to attack him and his hard work to avoid non-demon. The ever-growing desire from absolute power that absolutely corrupt him and the increasing horror of his presence to anyone in his way. Anyone will feel pity to his enemies despite their villain role. The setting follow the traditional cultivation story of sky above sky with few twist and the author kept few mysteries to make it interesting to explore. The author also knew boundary and knew when to drag the story or just skip it. The ending also nicely tied everything together from the beginning to the end, it is kinda expected ending but make so much sense. Recommended to fill free time and enjoy hilarious story watching the MC growing increasingly evil. <<less
