Chapter 3140 First Time in 3 Years

Chapter 3140 First Time in 3 Years

Alex’s days passed just the same as before, with little changes entering his life aside from the increasing number of Azure Dragons in his group. His bloodline transfer technique was getting better and better, to the point where Alex was starting to see a benefit in turning it into an actual Qi-based technique.

He had the Dao of Technique to make that happen, so all he would need was some extra amount of work. That would improve the rate at which he got the work done by a lot when the time came for it.

Ever since he got that idea nearly a year ago, he had been steadily working toward it, aside from taking the occasional month-long break to cultivate and improve his Blank Canvas Pill Origin.

On a day with an overcast sky and a chilly breeze passing through the rolling hills, Alex was lazily working on perfecting his bloodline transfer technique when he felt the slightest disturbance in the air. He turned around and saw the woman with black hair standing next to him, watching the cauldron before him.

“What are you doing exactly with all that blood?”

She usually let him be with his own task, but today she seemed quite curious.

“I’m sorry, but I can’t tell you,” Alex said, putting away the cauldron. “If I succeed, though, I’ll let you know.”

The woman raised an eyebrow. “Okay,” she said. “How will I hear it?”

“I’m sure you will,” Alex said. “It will be a big enough event to pass you by. But only if I succeed.”

If the woman reacted to his words, she didn’t show any of it on her face.

Alex stood up finally and turned toward her. “Do you know how long it has been since we first fought each other?” he asked her.

The woman raised an eyebrow. “I’m not that good at keeping time. How long has it been? Three years?”

“Three years and two months,” Alex said. “And six days if you wanted to be exact.”

“Only three years,” she said. “What about it?”

Alex laughed a little. “That day three years ago was the first time I landed a hit on you.”

“I let you hit me,” the woman quickly corrected.

“Yes, you let me hit you, but I still hit you. However, since then I haven’t been able to.”

The woman gave a silly look as she crossed her arms and tilted her head, waiting for Alex to get to the point.

Alex looked at her, determination filling his eyes. “Except for today. For the first time since that day, I will hit you today.”

The woman’s eyes widened slightly, her hands coming loose before her. “That’s some conviction you have there in your voice,” she said. “I hope there is more than just that to back your words.”

“There is,” Alex said. “Let me prove it to you.”

The woman gestured to the side and vanished, appearing a large distance away. Her movement was so subtle that she barely moved the air around her. Once she arrived on top of the hill, the dragons finally noticed her, and many started pointing toward her.

By now, the dragons looked forward to these moments of entertainment more than anyone else. Seeing the person that beat them fail to touch the woman despite fighting her for three years now always made them quite happy.

They were also always excited to see the woman, only no one ever dared to go talk to her. They all more or less understood she was a Divinity, and there was not a chance they were ever going to directly walk into a conversation with a Divinity where each word could lead

to a catastrophe for them.

They were very satisfied with staying the hell away from their fight and watching from afar.

Alex arrived at the other hill and landed gently. The cold breeze caressed his form as it moved away from him. The woman smiled toward him, her finger gesturing for him to come at her.

Alex took a deep breath, once more going through everything in his mind.

Over the past few years, the one idea he had regarding her had burrowed into his mind like a worm and had firmly made its home there. He hadn’t been able to get rid of the idea ever since, and each time he fought her, he tried to figure out if his idea even made sense

at all.

However, the more he fought her, the more he realized that it did make sense. So, over the past year, he had started thinking of a way to hit her despite the circumstances her presence created.

At his current strength without even a Spirit, let alone a Creation, there was but a single way. And for the past year, he had been silently training toward that very thing while trying to hide it from the woman all the while.

And recently, he was certain that he had done enough training, so now was the time to deal with the real thing.

Alex brought out three pills, causing the woman’s eyes to raise slightly. “You don’t mind me eating these, do you?” he asked.

“If you think it will help you, go ahead.”

With the affirmation given, Alex ate the three pills.

All three pills were for his mind. One temporarily increased the amount of spiritual energy he could drain from himself. Another one helped him recover his spiritual energy at a drastic rate.

And the last one was simply there to keep him awake even if all of his

spiritual energy was gone from his spiritual sea.

Eating three pills of similar nature at once would be disastrous for

most people, but Alex could separate their energies as they suffused from the eaten pills, letting each one move on its own, affecting his

body properly.

He waited for a moment for the pills to take effect, and as soon as he sensed the effects-primarily by his mind growing sharper all of a sudden-he pulled out his sword and got ready to attack.
