Chronicles of the Lazy Sovereign

First 2 arcs are pretty fun. I especially liked the ending of the second arc. But idk how or why but the author gave up after that. Every chapter is word slop with barely anything happening, which is well typical for many webnovels but still needs to mentioned. That wasn't my main problem though my main problem is the author put in zero effort in making it reasonable and logical. It's like making the classic paper airplane but instead of carefully folding the paper, he didn't even roughly fold the paper ... more>> and instead stuck together a plane by cutting the paper into triangles and using duct tape. So many small holes, that could have easily been filled but nah he's just writing the first though that comes to mind and if it contradicts, he just adds another flimsy explanation which goes against something 10 chaps ago. At one point MC fleeces a gambling den. Now do I think a martial master game a gambling game - Yeah sure. But instead of making a plan, the author just makes every one restarted. I suck at writing and pretty dumb but I could have written that part better! And from the first 2 arcs I know that author is much more capable then me but he's just not trying. That's disrespectful. And it just gets annoying chapter after chapter. IDK what the Fck the other review is talking about it being for feminist though. There are literally just 2 female characters with barely any lines. And their line are also fixed - woman 1 is constantly angry at MC cause he's freeloading at her house and just eats and sleeps without even taking a shower for weeks. Idk what consequences she's supposed to face for this? Like maybe this guy is angry cause she doesn't instantly fall in love with MC and worships her? But then woman 2 treats MC like a heavenly guest giving him luxury food every day, letting him stay however long even though she is extremely poor and in debt. So I have no idea why this guy is calling them btches. <<less

I think this is a very enjoyable novel. But there are some parts that are a bit too much to handle. The MC is too naive at times but too calculating at other. ... more>> He acts like a simpleton when it comes to women. Actually almost all women that have been introduced till now in this novel are terrible. The style is very similar to novels written by Fengling Tianxia. Except that there hasn't been a forced harem or use of aphrodisiac to force it yet in this. The story is very much enjoyable if you're a feminist or lean towards that and wish to read stories that are unrealistic and women don't face the consequences of their actions and are protected even when they act like total b**ches. The translation is great most of the time, especially considering the difficulty to translate murim novels. I still can't rate it higher than 7/10 at the most, but I am giving it a 4/5 here because it's actually an enjoyable read despite its flaws. <<less
